Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Aionwaves handles personal information in connection with the public JojoTune website and its browser-based tools. References to “JojoTune”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Aionwaves as the operator of the service.

• It applies when you browse JojoTune, use a tool, make a privacy choice or contact us.
• Current tools do not require a JojoTune account.
• A feature-specific notice supplements this policy where it describes a particular permission or interaction in more detail.

The information involved depends on how you use JojoTune. We distinguish information processed only on your device from information sent to service providers.

• Browser-local preferences, including favourites, recent tools, language, theme and consent choices.
• Temporary microphone input used by the tuner, processed on your device without being recorded or uploaded.
• XML, MusicXML and MXL score files you select, processed inside the active browser tab; PDF import is disabled.
• If you consent to analytics, standard page, session, device, browser, approximate-location and allowlisted product-event information.
• If you contact us, the content and contact details you choose to send through your email provider.

We process information only for purposes connected with delivering, maintaining and improving JojoTune.

• Provide the tool or result you request.
• Remember browser-local preferences without creating an account.
• Maintain site security, availability and error diagnosis through ordinary technical requests and logs.
• Measure limited feature use and import outcomes only after analytics consent.
• Respond to a message you choose to send to help@aionwaves.com.

JojoTune uses Google Analytics 4 only after you accept analytics. Declining analytics does not limit access to a tool, and unapproved event names or parameters are rejected before transmission.

• GA4 may use the first-party _ga cookie to distinguish browsers and sessions after consent.
• Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled.
• Score content, filenames, notes, microphone audio and musical free text are not analytics parameters.
• You can reopen Analytics settings from the footer and withdraw consent at any time.

We disclose information only where needed to operate JojoTune, comply with law or protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information or use musical input to build advertising profiles.

• Hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical requests and logs needed to deliver the website securely.
• Google processes analytics information only after consent.
• XML, MusicXML and MXL files are not disclosed to a score-recognition provider.
• We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to meet a legal obligation, enforce rights or address security and safety concerns.

JojoTune is available internationally and some service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

• Google may process consented analytics information outside Australia under its applicable data-protection arrangements.
• Hosting infrastructure may route or process ordinary technical requests in multiple regions.
• Different countries may have different privacy laws and protections.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it is processed, subject to the controls available in your browser and our service providers.

• Browser-local preferences remain until you change a setting or clear site data.
• Imported XML, MusicXML and MXL bytes are held in the active tab’s runtime and released when the runtime or tab is closed; Score Studio does not persist them.
• Analytics retention follows the configured GA4 property and Google’s applicable controls.
• Operational and security logs may be retained by infrastructure providers according to their configured retention settings.

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

• Analytics uses an allowlist of permitted events and parameters.
• Music inputs described as local are kept out of analytics payloads.
• We review data flows when features or service providers change.

JojoTune provides general music tools and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or profiles.

• The current service does not offer user accounts.
• Analytics is optional and can be declined or withdrawn.
• A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to us may contact help@aionwaves.com.

You can control optional analytics, browser permissions and information stored locally on your device.

• Decline or withdraw analytics from Analytics settings without losing access to a tool.
• Revoke microphone permission through browser settings.
• Clear JojoTune preferences through your browser’s site-data controls.
• Close the tab or replace a score to release the active local score runtime.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights concerning personal information held about you. The availability and scope of those rights depend on the circumstances.

• You may ask us about personal information we control, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy complaint.
• We may need enough information to understand and verify a request.
• Contact help@aionwaves.com; we will review the request and explain our response.

We may update this policy when JojoTune’s features, providers or legal obligations change.

• The current policy will be published on this page.
• Where appropriate, we may provide an additional notice for a material change.
• Continuing to use JojoTune after an update does not override any consent required by law.
